Our company is seeking a Procurement Analyst to be onsite at our Tampa, FL headquarters.  The Procurement Analyst supports the purchasing function by analyzing purchasing data, evaluating supplier performance, and optimizing procurement strategies for aluminum products. This role helps ensure that the company maintains optimal inventory levels, cost-effective purchasing, and strong supplier relationships to support distribution operations.

Procurement Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Analyze procurement data, market trends, and supplier performance to support strategic sourcing decisions for aluminum products (sheet, coil, bar, plate, etc.).
  • Monitor inventory levels, usage rates, and lead times to ensure timely and efficient replenishment of stock.
  • Work with internal teams (sales, logistics, production) to forecast material demand and align procurement strategies accordingly.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through vendor consolidation, bulk purchasing, or alternate sourcing strategies.
  • Evaluate and recommend suppliers based on pricing, quality, service, and delivery performance.
  • Prepare and maintain procurement reports, metrics, and dashboards for management review.
  • Collaborate with accounting and operations to ensure accuracy in purchase orders, invoicing, and inventory records.
  • Assist in the negotiation of terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and industry regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts within the supply chain function.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Procurement Analyst Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, finance, or related field a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or data analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle), and procurement tools.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced distribution environment.
  • Experience with demand planning or forecasting tools, preferred.
  • Familiarity with customs/import processes or international sourcing, preferred. 
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control, preferred.
