Salary Range : $72,200 - $108,400 Annual Job Details The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.
CNO Financial Group is hiring a
Sr. Life Underwriter to be responsible for the accurate and timely risk assessment and evaluation of life applications, renewals or cancellations utilizing the underwriting policy, guidelines, insurance laws and regulations.
As a Sr. Life Underwriter , your responsibilities will include: - Overseeing caseload to achieve desired objectives
- Contributing to the building and maintaining of strong relationships within the organization
- Responsibility for the risk decision of new and existing business of all life policies within delegated authority levels and company guidelines
- Maintaining an awareness of changing practices and regulations
- Effectively partnering with co-workers and agents to create a high performance organization
- Ability to serve as a SME to provide input on department procedures or practices
- Serving as a mentor to less experienced underwriters
The Sr. Life Underwriter position is well-suited for you if you: - Demonstrate thorough knowledge of life products
- Exhibit proficiency in underwriting all life products
- Possess thorough knowledge of regulatory and policy differences among states in which business is transacted
- Are actively working towards profession designations
What you’ll need: - Bachelor’s degree or eight years of relevant experience as equivalent
- Three years of direct life underwriting experience
- Three years of experience in a production-oriented environment
What will set you apart: - Willingness to work Central or Eastern time zone business hours
