Project Manager (Traveling)

On-Site Execution | Team Leadership | Project Excellence

The Flooring Pros Inc is a privately held and rapidly expanding Commercial Flooring & Tile Installation company is seeking a Traveling Project Manager to oversee day-to-day project execution on multifamily and commercial construction jobs across the Southeastern U.S.

Job Duties | What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide  on-site supervision and coordination for all phases of flooring installation projects.
  • Manage subcontractor crews , ensuring high-quality installation, adherence to specs, and safety compliance.
  • Serve as the  main point of contact between site teams, customers, general contractors, and internal office staff.
  • Maintain  project schedules, material deliveries , and jobsite cleanliness across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Proactively  identify and resolve project issues to avoid delays, budget overages, or customer dissatisfaction.
  • Conduct  daily site walks and quality checks , documenting progress and holding teams accountable to performance standards.
  • Communicate real-time updates to office staff, including  project milestones, field reports, punch lists , and closeout documentation.
  • Represent the company with professionalism and pride at every jobsite—every day.

Job Requirements | What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience managing commercial or multifamily construction projects,  preferably in flooring, finishes, or interiors .
  • Strong interpersonal and  people management skills ; capable of leading subcontractors with confidence and clarity.
  • Ability to  travel frequently throughout the Southeast; this is a field-based role with 80–100% travel.
  • Deep understanding of  jobsite safety, construction timelines, and customer expectations .
  • Excellent communication and  problem-solving skills —must be calm under pressure and organized.
  • Ownership mentality —you treat each project like it’s your name on the wall.
  • Basic computer and mobile tech proficiency (email, site photos, construction apps, digital reporting).
