Process Technician – Microchip Manufacturing (Sugar Land, TX) $18-$23/hour

About the Role:

We are seeking a Process Technician to join our team in Sugar Land, TX. In this role, you will help keep the production line running smoothly by assisting equipment and production engineers with equipment maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, and programming. Your work will directly contribute to meeting production and quality standards efficiently and cost-effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and operate multiple machines within the assigned section.
• Work with advanced robotics and automated machines.
• Perform equipment calibration and complete daily startup checks.
• Conduct minor repairs and troubleshoot equipment hardware, software, and process issues.
• Program new automated equipment and update existing configurations or parameters.
• Perform backups of programs and ensure proper documentation.
• Assist engineers with experiments and process improvements.
• Provide backup support for operators and assist with training new team members.
• Adhere to all safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Vocational course graduate or Associate’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in assembly processes and equipment; 3+ years preferred in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with soldering, microscopes, electro-mechanical tools, and measurement devices.
• Knowledge of at least one computer language or CAD software.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity; able to work in a repetitive manufacturing environment.
• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and a strong team player.
• Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment (no makeup or perfume allowed).
