Job Description

Our client, an apparel brand, is seeking a Technical Designer to join their team on a part-time temporary basis!

Category: Women and Men's

Duration: 3-4 months with potential for extension

Days: 1-2 / week

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine technical packs (spec sheets, measurements, construction details) for menswear and womenswear collections .
• Ensure accurate fit, quality, and construction of samples and production pieces.
• Collaborate with the India-based production team to resolve fit or technical issues.
• Work closely with design and merchandising teams to align product development with brand vision and mass-market requirements.
• Assist in fabric, trim, and component selection for both menswear and womenswear lines.
• Review and approve pre-production samples and provide feedback for bulk production.
• Maintain technical documentation and track product development timelines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Designer , preferably with experience in both menswear and womenswear.
• Strong understanding of wovens , garment construction, and production processes.
• Experience with mass-market, off-price, or wholesale/club retail production is a plus.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with international teams.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in resolving fit and construction issues.
• Proficiency with technical design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Excel, PLM systems)
