Job Title: Account Manager/Sales Support – Retail

Our innovative gas alarms are trusted by utilities, trade organizations, and safety-conscious consumers across the U.S. As we continue to expand our market presence, we are seeking an Account Manager to support the Vice President of Residential Sales with all aspects of servicing retail clients.

Role Overview

The Account Manager, Retail, will play a critical role in managing DeNova Detect’s key accounts. Reporting to the Vice President of Residential Sales, this individual will be responsible for maintaining client relations, sales enablement, and acting as a liaison between customers, sales, and internal operations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, customer-focused, and excel at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for numerous accounts, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Administrative tasks such as quote preparation, order entry, NetSuite & CRM updates, and proposal follow-ups.
  • Process and track orders, handle inquiries, and troubleshoot issues related to pricing, shipping, and product availability.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product lines, pricing, promotions, and lead times.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products and services to existing clients.
  • Monitor client activity and proactively reach out to ensure service levels are being met.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, potential issues, and growth opportunities.
  • Participate in meetings and provide feedback on customer needs, competitive activity, and potential improvements.
  • Ensure all interactions and documentation are recorded accurately in the CRM system.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in account management, inside sales, or sales support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Experience in B2B, manufacturing, or distribution environment is a plus.
  • Customer-first attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced work environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, etc.).
  • Experience working with alarm or gas/fire safety products.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic product specs, SKUs, or price sheets.
